A directory for discovering software, tools and providers across the IT ecosystem.
ITHub Directory organises IT solutions through search and categories. Cloud, cybersecurity, monitoring, backup and administration tools address professionals looking for options in a crowded landscape.
The usefulness of a directory depends on its structure. An entry should explain an offering, a category should place alternatives in context, and search should narrow the field. The platform also supports reviews and the submission of new listings.

- Our role
- A directory in our ecosystem: design of an IT discovery platform and journeys connecting categories with individual listings.
- The goal
- Help IT professionals start with a need, such as monitoring, explore relevant tools and reach information from their vendors.
- The constraint
- A catalogue combines software with different business models and uses. Navigation needs to narrow the choice while distinguishing descriptions, promoted listings and technical recommendations.
- The decision
- Provide categories, tags and list search. Each solution’s detail page extends that first selection with a description and an external link.
- The deliverable
- The public website and two screenshots show the actual journey. Entering “Zabbix” in Monitoring & Observability reduced the list to the matching entry during our check.
- The limitations
- Listings and vendor offers change. Inclusion does not replace evaluating a tool in your own environment. This case does not claim to measure traffic, conversions or the reliability of every published review.

Structure before volume
A list becomes a discovery tool when its taxonomy makes sense. Categories should reflect visitors’ tasks and needs, with enough detail to avoid unhelpfully broad groups.
Support a shortlist
A readable entry highlights what a solution does and lets visitors continue to the source. It does not replace evaluating costs, constraints and integration in their own environment.
Keep the catalogue useful
New submissions and contributions need consistent presentation. An evolving directory benefits from structured fields and a straightforward route to essential information.
